ANGELS 

Angels  have been a source of interest and comfort for a long time.  There are many stories of angels appearing to people or helping them in various situations.  The question of weather they exist or not is simply a matter of belief and personal experience.  People are often skeptical of things that they do not have personal knowledge or experience with.  This is especially true when it is something that they cannot prove or understand.  When a person has a personal and spiritual experience with angels, then they believe.  I went to a workshop about angels once and a man told a story about seeing his daughter as an angel the day after she died.  He said he did not believe in angels before that day, but the experience he had changed his mind, even though he still did not understand it. 

Guardian angels are probably the most commonly known type of angles.  It is said that everyone has at least two guardian angels and you can have more than two.   You can always ask for more angles to surround you, depending on your feelings or situation.  Our guardian angels generally stay with you for your entire life and watch over you, acting as protectors and guides. 

Archangels  oversee the guardian angels and are usually larger and more powerful.  Archangels do not have genders exactly but usually have male or female energy.  There are about 15 archangels and each of them fulfill certain roles or help in specific areas.  There are four main archangels which are Archangels Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel.  Archangel Michael is considered to be the most powerful of all the archangels and his main role is of protector, so is often pictured with a sword.  Archangel Gabriel is the "messenger of God" and generally works more with teachers, writers and parents.  Archangel Raphael provides healing and works with healers to help others.  Archangel Uriel is the angel of wisdom, providing people with insights and new ideas. 

Angelic Guidance

Angles are very loving beings and only want to help us.  In order to do that,we must ask angels to help us.  This is due to the law of free which means we can make our own decisions in life.  Angels will not interfere with that.  The one exception is that if we are in a life threatening situation before the time that we are to die.  I have a few personal stories where I feel that angels have intervened and prevented me from being hurt or saved my life.

One story is where I had driven to work wearing my seatbelt.  It worked perfectly fine at that point.  When I got back in my car after work, my seatbelt would not close or lock.  It was strange and I could not see anything wrong with it and my car had not been used since I drove to work.  I was bothered by this as I always wear my seatbelt.  So, I started driving home unable to wear my seatbelt, still wondering why it would not work.  It was raining and I was not fully paying attention to the road.  I did not notice that the speed limit suddenly dropped from 80 km/hr to 40 km/hr.  Before I knew it there was a small hill going downhill with a sharp "S" curve.  In the middle of the curve was a telephone pole.  Due to the rain and my speed, I did not make the curve and slammed into the pole on my drivers side.  The pole smashed into the drivers door right beside me and pushed the door 3/4 of the way into the drivers seat!  Since I did not have my seatbelt on, I was knocked over into the passenger seat.  I hit the wooden telephone pole so hard that it actually snapped in half and the top fell over.  My car was damaged so much that it was unable to be repaired and a write off.  The amazing this was that I had no injuries at all!  Not even a scratch or bruise!  I believe that there was divine or angelic intervention that saved my life.  There was no explanation to why my seat belt did not work and if I was wearing my seat belt I would have surely died. 

Normally though, we must ask the angels for their assistance, when we want it.  We simply need to ask by thinking it, saying it out loud, writing it down or even visualizing it.  When I do Reiki healings, I always ask angels and other spiritual beings to come and assist with healing the person. After you ask a question or for help from the angels, just pay attention to anything that you may think, feel, hear or see immediately and then over the next couple of days.  Words or ideas may come to you directly or the answer may come through someone that you talk to.  You can ask for help with anything, large or small.  It could be to help you find something you can't find or with a crisis situation.  They are very happy to help you.

Angel cards are another way of asking for and receiving angelic guidance.  They are a deck of cards with various pictures and messages on them and they come with a booklet that explains the deeper meaning of the card.  There are many different types of angel cards and oracle cards, so simple choose a deck that you are intuitively drawn to.  You think of and ask a question that you wish to receive guidance for and then you shuffle the cards.  Stop when you intuitively feel you should or you may even hear the word stop in your mind.  Choose the top card, look at the picture and read it.  Pay attention to any thoughts, feelings, words, images or ideas that come to you, as they will be part of your answer.  Then read the detailed information in the book about that card.   Think about how the answer may relate to you or your question.

Angels and Spirit Guides Are Unique Too

A lot of information has been produced in recent years about angels, spirit guides and ascended masters and more and more people are calling upon them for help in dealing with the challenges of life. The information that is surfacing about these other-worldly beings is the result of intensive study into ancient texts that are thousands of years old.

Furthermore, normal people are increasingly experiencing paranormal or supernatural events as they live their daily lives. This is happening across the globe, in the lives of all sorts of different people whether they live in cities or towns, the countryside or even on the streets.

They just keep living their normal, everyday lives, but have incorporated the supernatural quietly by seeking direction from spirit guides, ascended masters and archangels.

These beings are not experienced in the same way by different people. Sometimes they appear as visions, sometimes they simply speak and at other times they are felt as a presence. However, their presence is detected, the people they connect with have very interesting stories to tell.

We are gaining more understanding over time about how these beings operate. For example, we now know that archangels, ascended masters and spirit guides have specific expertise and areas of specialty. Archangel Michael, for example, is charged with helping us overcome fear both individually and as a whole.

Down through the ages, these amazing, extraordinary experiences have also been very natural. However, the supernatural experiences and contacts with other-worldly beings that have occurred throughout our human history are still mind blowing to human beings. Yet, our growing awareness of other beings, dimensions, and realities is finally beginning to be validated by quantum theory and the growing body of research in quantum physics.

When we realize that even spirit beings such as angels, spirit guides and ascended masters have special gifts and areas of specialty, we may be able to more easily accept and appreciate what we can uniquely offer as human beings. We also have things in which we are particularly gifted.

The combination of unique talents and interests that we all possess indicate our life purpose. These important elements of who we are combine to create our personalities and develop into the motivations, desires and decisions that create our destinies. Understanding this, should help us become more patient and understanding of both ourselves and other people.
